ALIMENTACIÓN SALUDABLE EN NIÑOS DEL CÍRCULO INFANTIL DEL BUEN VIVIR DE “RETÉN MACALETE”, CEBADAS, ECUADOR

A descriptive, cross-sectional field research was carried out in order to characterize eating habits in the children of the Children’s Circles of Good Living (CIBV) “Sumak Yachay” of the Reten Macalete, community, Ecuador in the period of august as of September 2012, the study determined by the difference in the incidence of anemia in only two infants (9.52%) of said center, whit respect to the other Children’s Circles of Good Living in this parish, in which this affections, from 57.8% to 92% in their infants. From a study population of 22 mothers of children from this center, an intentional sample of 20 was selected, requesting their informed consent to do so. The information was obtained by applying the survey of consumption by food groups of the Ministry of Public Health of Ecuador, adding the necessary questions for the profile of this research. The information was processed by percentage calculations and explained for your better understanding. The main results obtained were: the feeding of the children belonging to the Children’s Circle of Good Living “Sumak Yachay” of the Reten Macalete community, in its highest percentaje, is healthy, since they consume essential nutrients for the human organism such as: carbohydrates, proteins, fats, sugars, milk and their derivatives minerals and vitamins, properly combined, with frequencies and times of feeding that respond to a diet favorable to health. The water from which they are supplied is piped from natural sources and is chlorinated for consumption, favoring personal health. Key words: Anemia – wellness – Ecuador –  healthy eating habits – malnutritionSe realizó una investigación de campo, descriptiva, transversal, con el objetivo de caracterizar el comportamiento alimentario en los niños del Círculo Infantil del Buen Vivir (CIBV) “Sumak Yachay” de la comunidad  Retén Macalete de Cebadas, Ecuador en el período comprendido de agosto a septiembre de 2012, determinado el estudio por la  diferencia en la incidencia de anemia en solo dos infantes (9,52%) de dicho centro, con respecto a los  demás  Círculos Infantiles del Buen Vivir  de esta parroquia en los que se  presentó esta afección, desde un 57,8% hasta un 92% en sus infantes. De una población de estudio de 22 madres de niños de este centro, se seleccionó una muestra intencional de 20, pidiéndoles su consentimiento informado para ello. La información se obtuvo por la aplicación de la encuesta de frecuencia de consumo por grupos de alimentos del Ministerio de salud pública del Ecuador, añadiéndosele preguntas necesarias para el perfil de esta investigación. La información fue procesada por cálculos porcentuales y explicada para su mejor comprensión. Los principales resultados obtenidos fueron:  la alimentación de los niños pertenecientes al Círculo Infantil del Buen Vivir “SUMAK YACHAY” de la comunidad Retén Macalete, en su mayor porciento es saludable, pues consumen los nutrientes esenciales para el organismo humano tales como:  carbohidratos, proteínas, grasas, azúcares, leches y derivados, minerales y vitaminas, combinados adecuadamente, con frecuencias y horarios de alimentación que responden a una dieta favorable a la salud. El agua de la que se abastecen baja entubada desde fuentes naturales y es clorada para su consumo, favoreciendo la salud personal.
